Need a Dispenser Here!

I live alone. The office I work in closes at five. We don't work weekends.

I have a lot of time on my hands.

As a younger lass I would spend my summers literally doing nothing. As I got older, doing nothing got older as well. I'm sure this is the natural progression of things.

To keep myself busy, I have been making things. Lots of random things. Gifts, sketches, hair accessories, stuffed creatures, pins, Photoshop and Illustrator experiments. I am thinking I will post a few things here and there. I'm on Cut Out and Keep almost constantly and I am beginning to post my projects there, too. I find lots of inspiration there.

If I'm not doing something I get confused, even sad. I feel like I am keeping myself afloat lest I stop and I drown. Sure, that sounds pretty "emo" as all the young individuals say nowadays, but it is a place that is hard to explain. However, I feel creative all of the time. That is a lucky thing.

Sketch time. I've been playing Team Fortress 2 a lot and wanted to sketch the Scout. I'm considering being a girl scout for Halloween. Not the kind that sells cookies. The kind that bats heads in.

Team Fortress 2's Scout, pouting and waiting to respawn. Ankle injury perhaps?

Learning is Fun!

Planet I made(image above made by me, I didn't steal nothin')

I don't seem to do much work at work anymore. It's summer, school is mostly closed, not many departments need website updates, etc.

However, I work on things that I would like to think expand my design skills and repertoire or techniques. All the resources here really make me want to open a Photoshop file and just make stuff. I have learned how to do some cool things, and so, for anyone who is interested in graphically designing something, here are some great links:

Even if you've never opened your copy of Photoshop, Illustrator, GIMP, whatever, You might be surprised at what you can learn.

Have at it.
